Your vote this November will decide whether a pack of cigarettes will cost you an extra $2.

California has low smoking rates compared to the rest of the country, but 4 million Californians are still considered active tobacco users.

Whose wallets would this new tax hurt the most and can a $2 tax even get a smoker to quit?

Matt Levin is a data journalist for CalMatters. He investigated the tobacco tax ballot initiative and joins us in studio with his findings.
